ISO 9001

ERSG hold the ISO 9001:2008, 14001:2004 and OHAS 18001:2007 accreditations which specifies requirements for quality, environmental and healthy and safety management systems; the achievement of effective management systems will be on the basis of a documented Management System, consisting of procedures and supporting documentation/records. This will ensure all activities are consistently carried out with the minimum of risk and with a view to continually improving activities/processes to further reduce such risk wherever practicable, furthermore will ensure work undertaken is consistently carried out to the customer’s requirements

ERSG Quality Policy Statement
ERSG is dedicated to the Quality Policy which is intended to ensure that’s its services meet the high requirements of its Clients and applicants at all times. The goal of the company is to achieve a high level of Client satisfaction. Commitment to the implementation of supporting managerial and operational systems is essential to realising that goal. It is our intention to maintain a position as a market leader with respect to the quality of service we provide.

It is our intention to continually strive for improvement in line with the objectives of this policy and initiatives set against the said Objectives.

The Quality Policy is based on the following fundamental objectives:

  1. The definition of quality as conforming to requirements, having identified very carefully the needs of our Clients, our applicants and our own systems.
  2. The quality management system concentrates on prevention, looking at our service provision processes, identifying the potential for errors and taking the necessary action to eliminate them.
  3. The quality of service provision is based on the principle of everyone understanding how to do their job to the standard required and doing it right the first time.
  4. To strive for continual improvement in the quality of service provided, initiatives will be set and monitored as a minimum, through management review, to ensure this is achieved.
  5. To review legal and regulatory requirements relevant to the scope of the business and to ensure that we comply.

To ensure that the policy is successfully implemented, staff will be responsible for identifying client and applicant requirements and for ensuring the correct procedures are adhered to in order to meet the requirements.

Initiatives needed to ensure that the requirements of this policy are met will be set, determined and monitored in management reviews.

The quality policy principles and related objectives will be communicated and available to staff at all times. Training will be an integral part of the strategy to achieve objectives.

ERSG Environmental Policy Statement
We are committed to environmental excellence and in provision of the foregoing services, and inasmuch as it is practicable to do so, have determined that we will provide our customers with services, and conduct our business in, an environmentally sensitive and responsible manner.

We believe that a sound environmental policy contributes to our competitive strength and benefits our customers and employees.

We aim to:

  1. Comply with applicable legal requirements and any other requirements to which we subscribe which relate to our environmental aspects.
  2. Continually improve the effectiveness of our environmental management system.
  3. Consider environmental factors when making planning, purchasing and operating decisions.
  4. Provide environmental training and education to enable our employees to be environmentally responsible at work and at home.
  5. Prevent pollution before it is produced.
  6. Reduce the amount of waste wherever practicable.
  7. Use energy efficiently.
  8. Manage our use of natural resources in an environmentally sensitive manner.
  9. Work cooperatively with others in pursuit of common environmental objectives.
  10. Communicate and reinforce this policy throughout the organisation, to our staff, subcontractors, suppliers and those working for and on behalf of the company.
  11. Ensure the policy is available to the public via the company website.
  12. Set and progress specific Objectives to manage the continual improvement process.
  13. Review the policy not less than annually and following any significant changes to the business.

ERSG Occupational Health & Safety Policy Statement
ERSG Ltd accepts its statutory responsibilities and duty of care towards ensuring health, safety and welfare of all employees, contractors and visitors engaged by ourselves and of all others who may be affected by our business activities.

The company shall provide and maintain a safe and healthy working environment, in particular ensuring, so far as is reasonably practicable, that:

  1. The system in place is appropriate to the nature and scale of the company’s occupational health and safety risks. 
  2. The company is committed to prevention of injury and ill health and to continual improvement in occupational health and safety management and performance. Commitment shall be demonstrated by adherence to defined processes, pursuance of continual improvement via Objectives and other defined initiatives as and where appropriate.
  3. The company is committed to ensuring compliance with applicable legal requirements, any requirements specific to clients and any other identified requirements relating to occupational health and safety hazards within the scope of our operations.
  4. Objectives are defined and used alongside other business metrics to measure and report health and safety performance and to encourage continual improvement in health and safety. Objectives shall be set and achievement against the said Objectives monitored as a minimum at Management Review and Health and Safety Review Meetings. 
  5. A Company health and safety management system shall be documented, implemented and maintained, defining internal processes for health and safety Management.
  6. All employees and contractors receive adequate information, training and supervision in how to carry out their work with regard for their own health and safety and that of all others, and feedback and consultation is encouraged.
  7. The Policy shall be made readily available by appropriate means, to relevant, interested parties.
  8. The occupational health and safety management system and Policy shall be regularly reviewed to ensure that it remains relevant and appropriate to the company. As a minimum this shall be during Management Review Meetings.
  9. Risks arising from its work activities are assessed, and ensure that effective control measures are both provided and implemented.
  10. All employees and consultants are medically fit to undertake their assigned role and this fitness will be regularly monitored.
  11. Premises, other workplaces and equipment are kept in a clean, serviced and safe condition.

The Company’s Directors shall be accountable for delivery of this Health & Safety Policy and maintaining the Company Health & Safety Management System.

The company will provide necessary support and resources to enable both employees and contractors to achieve these Policy objectives and where necessary seek external competent person advice and guidance.

The Company will carry out a regular review of this Policy and Health & Safety Management System to ensure that the highest standards of health and safety are maintained. This Policy and Health & Safety Management System will also be reviewed if there is a significant change in the business or operational processes. Changes will be made known to all employees and appropriate contractors.

IMCA

As part of The International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA), ERSG belong to the international trade association representing companies and organisations engaged in delivering offshore, marine and underwater solutions. Their core purpose is improving performance in the marine contracting industry by championing better regulation and enhancing operational integrity.
As a member of the IMCA, ERSG benefits from a number of benefits including regular updates, with opportunities for input into the development process. Safety flash system to pass on lessons learned from offshore incidents. A regular newsletter, briefing notes on technical issues, regulatory developments, and appropriate events.

MLC

ERSG acquired its Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) compliance certificate to ensure all workers deemed as seafarers are fairly and appropriately treated whilst working on a Vessel. The International Labour Organisation convention established in 2006 as the fourth pillar of international maritime law. MLC embodies all up-to-date standards of existing international maritime labour Conventions and Recommendations, as well as the fundamental principles to be found in other international labour Conventions.

In accordance with the Maritime Labour Convention 2006 we are committed to not placing seafarers under the age of 16, Not requesting seafarers to pay fees or other charges for their potential recruitment or placement, not holding a list of seafarers that would prohibit them from finding employment.

AUG

ERSG was successfully granted an AUG labour leasing licence in July 2013. This acquisition enables ERSG to work closely with key clients in Germany on leasing labour to the German workforce. Many clients are reluctant to deal with recruitment companies that do not hold an AUG licence as without one they may become liable for any tax or social security that is left unsettled. Following this achievement, our German payroll entity was established allowing us to ensure full tax compliance.

Sellihca

Sellihca is a supplier register and pre-qualification system used by the Nordic utilities to manage supplier information and risk within the supply chain as well as to procure efficiently in accordance with EU regulations. Through our Sellihca accreditation, we are able to demonstrate our capability to meet industry requirements to over 2,700 individual buyer users from 60 organisations, attributing to our credibility and significant visibility within the industry. 

UVDB

Achilles UVDB is the community for the UK utilities industry. It enables the utilities sector to use Achilles' proven supplier pre-qualification system to manage risk within the supply chain and comply with EU regulations. Through the UVDB accreditation, we are able to promote our products and services to over 1,500 individual buyer users from over 80 organisations.

The Recruitment &Employment Confederation

As REC Members, ersg abides by the REC Code of Professional Practice. The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) is the professional body dedicated to representing the interests of the UK’s recruitment industry and are committed to raising standards and highlighting excellence throughout the recruitment industry.

RenewableUK

Ersg are members of RenewableUK, the leading trade and professional body for the UK wind and marine renewables industries. RenewableUK aim to be the voice of authority for the renewable power sector, providing a credible source of information and knowledge for members, the industry, Government, the public and the media.

EcoVadis

ERSG has recently achieved a silver level medal from EcoVadis. The results of this particular accomplishment enables us as a company to understand our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices, enabling us to meet our client’s need as more and more of them raise questions about their supplier’s environmental and social performance. EcoVadis aims at improving environmental and social practices of companies by leveraging the influence of global supply chains.

Charities We Support

Chartwell Cancer Trust

ERSG is proud to be a Corporate Patron of The Chartwell Cancer Trust. The Trust is a registered charity providing financial support for the Chartwell Cancer and Leukaemia Unit in the Princess Royal University Hospital, Farnborough, Kent.

The Unit serves one of Europe’s largest metropolitan borough areas, which has over one million residents. It provides patients with a comfortable environment in which to receive care from the professional, multi-disciplined team who address their symptom control and pain relief.  NHS budget policy dictates the service levels and equipment availability in the Chartwell Unit. There are shortfalls, which The Chartwell Cancer Trust helps to overcome.

Building a Future for PeruvianChildren

ERSG is proud to be a Corporate Patron of Building a Future for Peruvian Children. This small Peruvian, not for profit family organisation was set up by Lajas Peruvian community to enable up to 800 disadvantaged Peruvian children within Lajas to get an education and inspire them to be the best they can be - an opportunity they would not have otherwise. Our support has helped 1106 children into school since 2009, for an average of four years; supported 798 children in school in 2014; enabled 99% of children supported to complete primary school and stocked every nursery school with the material for play and for a wide range of educational activities.
