- General duties include;
a) Application of safety and environmental standards to the Onshore and Offshore sites
b) Knowledge, understanding and application of the requirements under the Construction Phase Plan (CPP) relevant to completion of their duties
c) Ensure all site safety issues are managed in accordance with the CPP
d) Support the effective management of HSE (working in close co-operation with the HSE team)
e) Ensure all works are completed in compliance with approved RAMS & procedures (Safe systems of Works)
f) Liaise with Site Management to support sequence of the work required
g) Carry out point of work risk assessments (as may be required)
h) Attend Daily Work Planning meetings when required
i) Undertake site reports on any issues encountered
Specific duties may include, but are not limited to;
a) Support project stores, warehouse and quayside operations in Newhaven Port.
b) Provide supervision to existing stores operatives (Storeman & Yardman)
c) Support the operation of the site stores (PPE, COSHH, rigging loft etc) and managing delivery activities in the project construction base on the East Quay of Newhaven Port.
d) Use of site plant (rotohandler with winch, forklift) for moving plant and equipment between the warehouse and quayside and loading out parts from the quayside onto vessels moored alongside
e) Maintain a robust Goods in/Out Procedure for the accurate tracking of tools, equipment and materials.
f) Assisting the site team with preparation of personnel for offshore transfer (checking documentation & PPE and registering training) and management of the project pontoons
a) Ensure stock is correctly and efficiently managed
b) Ensure efficient liaison between all stores parties (internal, contractors, external deliveries etc)
1. Working time
The period of employment will involve working 5 days a week, 12 hours a day. An amount of flexibility is expected to ensure holiday/sick cover for other Stores operatives is provided. The position will be based in Newhaven.
Timesheet periods are based on a calendar month and can only be submitted on the 1st of the following month at the very earliest.
Leave should be discussed with the Lead Marine Co-ordinator, giving sufficient notice to ensure cover can be provided.

The Stores Supervisor has;
· Good IT proficiency
· Driving license and own transport
· Own laptop
· Forklift certification (counter balance)
· Rigger and banksman
· Experience of supervising small teams
