Interface Site Engineer

Function / Role in Project EOS Interface Site Engineer
Responsibilities in general • Represent the Client in the role of Interface Engineer (STX/50Hz/etc.) during the Installation, and Commissioning of the structural interfaces, power supply and utility interfaces such as piping, cable trays, power supply AC&DC, firefighting system, air condition, oil cooling, cranes, door locking system, water/waste water system, etc. on the Offshore Substation Platform
• Client Representative of AWE during offshore works of STX incl. sub-contractors and other AWE contractors
• Support of the coordination of all technical interfaces between AWE, 50Hz and Contractors/Sub-Contractors onshore and offshore
• He has the responsibility to supervise all onshore/offshore contractors (STX/50Hz/etc.) works and its interfaces as well as all relevant interfaces between AWE and Contractors, Sub Contractors, Contractors QA/QC Representatives, Designated Authorities to ensure successful fabrication and assembly of the Offshore Substation on time and within the required Quality standards and HSSE regulations
• He supports the project commissioning supervisors for the onshore and offshore commissioning and testing activities
• He has to give advice and support to the ELP/EOS/Site Manager
• Supervises contractor and subcontractor work development is in line with agreed schedules and to required spec/quality
• He keeps and maintain a safe work environment within the team and the contractors on site according to ECR and project HSSE guidelines and procedures
Responsibilities towards HSSE • Stay informed of the HSSE system and the procedures relevant to the function as well as to work in accordance with the requirements defined therein.
• Obliged to react on observed nonconformities to the written procedures and to contribute to the improvement of the system
Responsibilities towards QA • Stay informed of the QA system and the procedures relevant to the function as well as to work in accordance with the requirements defined therein
Main Duties / Tasks • Review of technical interfaces, procedures and documentation, analysis of structural/piping/electrical/utilities installation and testing methods and procedures with high focus on technical interfaces.
• Supporting inspection and monitoring of the installation and commissioning activities
• Checking of as built documentation prior to issue ensuring correct and complete information is present
• Review, inspect and confirm acceptability to the appropriate standards
• Identify changes/improvements where appropriate
• Provide advice and support to the ELP/EOS/Site Manager and the project team
• Reporting on site progress activities, HSSE and Quality to the Site Manager
• Closely cooperation with the Contractor in order to ensure a safe and successful transport and installation handover activities
• Use the provided project document control system for all phases of the project
• Supervise and keep control of the site delivery goods in adherence to the Project and vendor recommended storage and maintenance procedures
• Regular reporting to Site Manager
Main Deliverables • Site Progress Report on Fabrication, Construction, Assembly, Commissioning & Testing contractor activities with a high focus on technical interfaces.
• Join contractors site meetings
• Monitor & Control the project developments and progress
• Monitor and document lessons learnt
• Keeps daily log of all site activities
• Regular reporting to the Site Manager
• As build documentation for hand-over to the Implementation Team
Authority • Authority to request information from ELP Team
• Authority, after alignment with the Site Manager, to initiate necessary measures to reach the project targets
Not within authority • No authority to sign contracts
• No authority to represent the project in public relations
Reporting to • Within the Project: EOS Site Manager
Mandatory qualification: • According to the specific function requirements
• Engineering discipline
• Site experience on fabrication yards/ construction sites
• GWO Working at Heights, GWO First Aid, GWO Sea Survival, GWO HUET, GWO Fire  
   Awareness, GWO Manual Handling, Medical examination acc. G37, G25, G41, 0ffshore
• Fluent in English & German. French is a plus
