Main Purpose of Job

To lead a small team responsible for retail pricing for domestic and SME electricity and gas customers. The team will be responsible for owning, developing and updating pricing models, analysing the key risks to gross margin, understanding competitor positioning. The team will work closely with sales, marketing, hedging and financial teams and will support pricing requests made from across the business.

Principle Responsibilities

• Quotation portal supervision

• Production of pricing matrices

• Gas & electricity pricing model maintenance

• Retail Tariff design and margin analysis

• New product design in close collaboration with key stakeholders across the business

• Competitor analysis

• Analysis of key pricing risks to gross margin

• Key role to play in delivery of tariff change projects in the business

• Integration of new products into new operational IT systems in the business

Essential skills

• Professional, organised, pro-active approach with excellent communication skills

• Ability to work/liaise with other departments and form good working relationships

• Ability to take initiative and to work as part of a team

• Inquisitive and prepared to challenge ideas

• Must have flexible approach to work

• Proven track record with data analysis on complex datasets

• Creation and maintenance of process documentation

• Computer literate to include competency in all Microsoft Office programmes

• Proficient in PostgreSQL

• Scilab experience preferable but not essential

Qualified to 2:1 in a highly numerate discipline.
