![]() Responsibilities - Assist Managing Director in developing UK business - Recruit, select and develop a UK Technical Team and Operations Partners and Suppliers - Begin as sole technical source with a "hands-on" approach; then create team and partners as business dictates - Pre-Sales Engineering o Assist closing sales o Perform site evaluations to verify thermal requirement, equipment type, energy sizing and installation costs; Perform cost estimates o Perform project economic analyses - Project Management o Manage and support all aspects of CHP and chiller system site development & installation o Select, negotiate and manage contractors o Responsible for project performance, schedules, tasks, resources and budgets - Project Monitoring o Monitor and respond to existing site performance to enhance billing opportunities o Work with service firm and customer to maximize equipment run time - Engineering o Apply for grants, incentives, permits, etc. - Plan and direct the UK activities to achieve agreed targets and standards for financial and trading performance, quality, culture and legislative adherence - Have ownership of the P & L - Execute the responsibilities of a company director according to lawful and ethical standards The Person - Of engineering degree calibre (as a minimum) - A forward thinking, Micro-CHP expert; Equipment installation skills critical - Well known and respected in the CHP and energy industry with an excellent track record with mechanical systems designed for buildings - Good strategic thinker with the ability to deliver a robust new business - Excellent man-management and communication skills - Sound commercial experience - Entrepreneurial desire |
