![]() Our client a niche building services consultancy is looking to strengthen their engineering team as part of the planned strategic growth of the business, through the employment of a Principal Engineer / Associate With an extensive range of clients both public and private sector, they have forged an excellent reputation for developing low energy/carbon solutions for both new build and existing building developments. Working in a project management and team leading capacity you will be required to work closely with client, developer and architect to advise/recommend and design for sustainable/energy efficient solutions, to include; Strategic advice for low energy building design Sustainability statements Environmental and energy use benchmarking Due diligence and technical evaluations for acquisition Building condition and energy surveys Mechanical and Electrical system design for industry Part 'L' Building Regulations compliance IES thermal modeling software iSBEM assessment software BREEAM / CfSH advice It is essential that the successful individual is degree qualified in a building services subject, and ideally has supplemented this with a masters or similar in energy/sustainability subject. You should also be a CIBSE low carbon consultant combined with proven experience of delivering projects from concept to completion, together with a thorough understanding of building physics. As a senior member of the business, the successful individual will be expected to demonstrate excellent communication skills, together with the ability to develop existing and new business relationship and with proven man management skills.
