Main Purpose of Job
The primary responsibility of the Interfaces Manager role is to coordinate the interfaces (terminal points) between the project’s Working Packages and Contracts of the Offshore Wind Farm).
Such coordination will mean creating and updating an Interfaces Register or Matrix as data base and monitoring tool of the interfaces evolution.
The aim of risk Manager role is to try and mitigate exposure to risk so that the level of risk falls within the project’s “risk appetite


 
Key Criteria
Previous experience in similar roles.
• Skilled in Excel and Access.
• Skilled in CAD drawings
• Good knowledge of wind farm projects.
• Good knowledge of offshore projects.
• Good knowledge of FIDIC contracts (Yellow Book)
• Understanding of electromechanical drawing and documents.
• Practical experience and awareness of CDM Regulations 2007, in particular the role of the Principal Contractor and Contractor roles supported by practical experience;
• PC knowledge of Microsoft applications.
• Understanding of electromechanical drawing and documents.
• Personal organisation and planning skills
• Strong negotiators, persuasive and able to influence others

Key Tasks
• The Interfaces Manager will be responsible for getting and updating the interfaces matrix between the projects’s working packages. Once contract with suppliers are in place the Interfaces Manager will be responsible for monitoring those interfaces between contracts.
• To coordinate the different project’s working packages in order to:

• Define the list of interface of each working package with the rest of project’s areas. However, definition of technical interfaces is responsibility of each technical package leader.
• Define the associate documents to each interface.
• To get the agreement from the different stakeholders involved in an interface about the delivery date for each document required for defining each interface.
• Facilitate the interchange of information between the project’s working packages.
• To monitor the status of the interfaces matrix.
• To review the contracts and / or purchase orders with suppliers to assure that the interfaces between working packages have been taking into account and are included in the scope of any of the contracts.
• To help develop and agree Division of responsibilities (DoR) between contractors and the project (employer).
• To report to the Project Management (Engineering and Construction Manager) about the status of the interfaces matrix.
• To help implementing interfaces management procedures (already defined for ongoing Offshore Wind Farm Project).
• Helping to identify and quantify your firm’s risk appetite
• Identifying and assessing actual and potential risks against set parameters, through qualitative and quantitative analysis and using benchmarking, gap analysis, workshops, scenario and process mapping techniques
• Implementing and executing risk mitigation plans, which might include the planning of risk control actions (e.g. purchase of insurance or other risk financing options, health and safety measures, liaison with regulators, business continuity and disaster recovery plans)
• Monitoring, evaluating and challenging the project´s success in managing its risks
• Hold periodic meetings with the leaders of the packages of the project and other Project’s stakeholders involved in the definition and / or figure out of interfaces.
• To support the leaders of the project’s working packages in the definition of interfaces
• To help the Engineering Manager issuing technical notes required to explain and solve interfaces.
• To support the Risk Management and Planner in the definition and monitoring of risks concerning the interfaces of the project.
